Monochrome Hugs

Greetings~

Thanks to the encouragement and gifts from new friend Linda W, I have made this card. It's my first card for The Diva's That Cut...Paper! challenge. For July, what they are asking for is monochrome colors using dies, so here is my card. Thanks Linda!!

The gift used here is the wonderful medium gray cardstock that I used for my base. I do not know who makes the paper, but Linda says she hoards it. Teehee. Anyway, after choosing the base color first, I then added layers of Stampin' Up! grays, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate along with an unknown gray paper.

The die, a NBUS one, is also from SU, and called Sending Hugs. It is still available. Isn't that a wonderful die? Love it, and no, I am not a demo. I popped up the die cut with some dimensionals and the card was done. Inside I layered a big piece of c.s. ready for a note when I send this card.

Extra high heat and humidity here in Minnesota. Good weather to stay inside and create. My foster dog Willie hates it outside and pulls to go back in quickly.

Bye, bye for now fellow card makers and be safe.

  1. What a beauty, Jeanne!! I love what you did with that die cut - gorgeous!! I'm glad you liked the grey linen card stock. I got it at Anchor Paper (one of their "no name" packs). Yeah, I do hoard it but made a Feb 2020 CCC card with it :) Thanks for joining us at Die Cut Divas and I hope you'll play again!!

  2. Fabulous card...really classy looking and a super die. The grey card is so different and not a colour I would think to use I have to say but it really works well .

  4. I have some of that gorgeous cardstock and I hoard it, too, Jeanne. How nice of Linda to share! I love the design you created in monochrome blue-grays with that fabulous SU HUGS die as the focus pocus! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! I hope it cools off for you and Willie soon! Hugs, Darnell
