Leaves Re-Done and a Halloween Card

Hello!

Here is the re-do of the leaves from my last post! I tore the salvageable leaves off the original card both from the card front and the inside. Still loving the alcohol inked leaves, I am entering this in the current Addicted to CAS #123 challenge which is asking for leaves.

Quite simply, the leaves were just placed on an off-white textured cardstock called Cream White from The Paper Company. Not sure if you can get that paper any longer. I am sorry it looks white in the picture. In real life, the leaves show up much prettier. To cover the stained area of the one leaf, I just made a little tag on a snippet of Bazzil c.s. using the Stampin' Up! Happy Thanksgiving from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. Haven't done sponging on edges in a long time. How about you?

It has been a great Fall here in MN with really pretty leaves. The last few days have been unseasonably cold and windy, so there are not many leaves on the trees now. So sad.  I do love autumn colors.

Since Halloween is tomorrow, I am posting one of the cards I made for the grand kids. Also made a couple treat boxes but don't have photos. This card was made at a make and take at my SU demo's house. I tweaked it by adding the polka-dotted vellum skirt and orange bow while moving the bow tie to her head. I think Maddie, who likes to wear things in her hair, will like the card. The ribbon, vellum, skeleton and bow tie are from SU. The cat is from Impression Obsession Dies and the stripped c.s. is Recollections from Michaels. I did enjoy making this card.

Now on to make more Thanksgiving cards and then Christmas cards! Thanks for visiting.

  6. jeanne, this is truly stunning! Your leaves are gorgeous and they totally pop off the background. All that wonderful white space allows them to absolutely shine and you know I love things in threes! I also love that you placed your sentiment at an angle. Gorgeous card, my friend. hope you are enjoying our COLD weather:-)
So glad you joined us at ATCAS this week

  9. Super card Jeanne, and I answered your question about aperture over in comments on my blog. Why not come back and play again? We possibly have mulled wine behind the bicycle shed, not that the little tinkers think I know about it!
