Time For Some NBUS

Hello!  Yes, it is time for Darnell's NBUS challenge and I just have to play along. I admit to still be buying new crafty things. Can't help myself! Can you? Here's my card for NBUS #12 using my new die called Front Door from Impression Obsession that I bought just last weekend. My local craft store had it on sale and I think it can be used in a number of ways. Lucky me!

A Christmas card came to mind first, so that is what I made. I could not decide where to put a sentiment, so it will have to be inside. Besides, I wanted to showcase the shiny pattern of the door/moldings. The black paper is one I have been hoarding the last bits of. It is from Hot off the Press, called Crocodile Black Specialty. The several pieces are popped up with black craft foam. Also a NBUS is the wreath that came from a Stampin' Up! set called Stitched Felt Winter Wishes that I bought at least a year ago. The holly and leaves are separate and glued on with Ranger Glossy Accents as other glues did not work on the felt. I did some surgery on the wreath part so it doe not overwhelm the door so much. Trying to make two of the panels look like windows in the door and not having any pale yellow cardstock, I used a piece of yellow Post it Note. Looks white in the picture, funny enough. My card base is Real Red from SU.

Well, now I have 4 cards made for the upcoming holiday. This one cannot even be mailed as it is quite thick. It's a start. Right? Thanks, Darnell for your challenge! Take care and thanks for visiting! I love visitors!
