A Happy Day

My one and only grandson turned 15 recently! What a joy he has been his whole life. He liked this card that I made especially for him using his favorite color, orange. Family joke on me... I've always pronounced the color "oinge" which naturally makes all the grandkids tease me. His birthday dinner at an Italian restaurant was no exception. Lots of laughter.

Here's my card for Gavin:

I CASED my card from the card shown below found in a video by Nichol Spohr LLC for Simon Says Stamp. The supplies she used were from the May 2014 monthly kit. I only have the stamp set, so I improvised the rest with what I have in my hoard collection.

The stamp set is called All Boy by Simon Says Stamp.  I used the shoes, dude and the 3 dots (surgically altered) stamps plus the small star from the set. A piece of navy cardstrock from my stash and the orange striped paper is from Michael's. My card base is PaperTrey Ink white. I colored the shoes with my NBUS ZIG Clean Color Real Brush  pens in the Bright Yellow, which looks orange to me when straight from the pen. I found it is yellow when mixed with water. I am truly at the "learner" stage! Inside I just stamped happy birthday with a message from me, Grammy. Sorry, forgot which of my many birthday stamps I used. One cannot have too many birthday stamps and dies, I always say. tee hee

Thanks for visiting. Oh, and a very Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate this week!
