A Card Chain Challenge

Hi!  I hope everyone is having a nice summer! It's lovely today here in MN.

I saw a card by the famous and fabulous Darnell that she submitted to the Society of Stampaholics  CCC challenge a while back, and decided to give it a try. I like the idea of the one-on-one card exchange. Shown is the card I made for the July challenge, and it has been received by Patti J.  I see the June date on the card is wrong - that's my error in adjusting my camera date settings after removing the little chip to load my cards into the computer. Does anyone else have to go this cumbersome route to try and get a picture to post on their blog? If only I could find the cord that came with camera, this would be all easier. Sorry about the whining.

Anyway, here's the details on the card. I followed the challenge colors and ocean suggested theme when making this card. I remember so happily doing some ocean sailing back in the day.  :-)   The background ocean-y DSP and Dusty Durango orange layering piece are from Stampin' Up! and are both retired. The seaweed and little seahorse are from the SU set called By the Tide.  I used PTI white cardstock for the base. It was really a fun card to make except for fussy cutting the seahorse! I stamped a little piece of seaweed inside with a piece of the dsp and left rest clean for the final recipient to use whatever sentiment desired.

Thanks for stopping by. I love having you visit!
