A January Birthday

It's been so long since I have posted I had a terrible time finding my picture in my computer, and now am trying to link it to Darnell's challenge! Computer ineptness, but I hope I am forgiven.  I made this card for my BFF Jayne's birthday which was last Sunday. She loved the card and loves the embossed edges. My NBUS is the Stampin' Up! embossing folder called Filigree Frame. Isn't it pretty? The flower I made from the Flower Patch set and die combo using SU's Blackberry Bliss and Wisteria Wonder card stock. A shiny gold brad centers the flower and tries to match the purple and gold embossing powder I used to stamp the sentiment. I wish my photo was better! The stamp is an old SU one from 2001. Still love it.

I posted on SCS that my word for 2015 is DO. I promise to try, folks, to do some more blogging. Also need to stock up on birthday cards for all the family ones coming up.

Take care, dear readers. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Pretty card...I like that embossing folder too.
I like your word "Do" that's a good one...one that maybe I should have picked...because I keep putting off things that I should "DO" smile...

The word that I picked is "perseverance" I think maybe I should NOT have picked it because this week my husband have been tested as to how much we can persevere...but there's always tomorrow...smile...It could be better...NO
    It's going to be better....LOL

As to having trouble with posting...I'm been blogging a long time...and if I miss a few days posting I still struggle in figuring out how to post. I seem to always forget something (but then again...it could be my OLD age...LOL (sorry didn't mean to write a book.

  3. Well, look at you, Jeanne! You got the rust out and got 'er done! I'm so proud of you! I love your card with that NBUS and gorgeous e /f and the stunning blossom! You obviously have not gotten rusty as far as making cards is concerned! The blogging part will get easier as you do it more often (hint), but you'll have to bug me if I don't come and visit since I'm not used to having you on here, you know! Thank you so much for entering my NBUS Challenge #3, my friend! Enjoy your day and I hope to see you back soon DOing!! Hugs, Darnell
